THE APPEAL OF THE WORK
The Appeal of the Work: Insights from ID Home’s Executive
A Career That Pursues Both Personal Dreams and Social Challenges.
Purchasing a home is one of the biggest events in our customers’ lives. We take pride in helping them realize that dream and, every day, feel the reward of our work leaving a lasting mark on the community.
At the same time, our business generates genuine social value.
This great significance—balancing “personal dreams” and “social contribution”—is what defines our work.
K. (Housing Business Division)
-What was the deciding factor in your decision to join ID Home?
While I was considering a career move from another housing competitor, I came across our company on a job search site. I immediately recalled hearing from a subcontractor at my previous company that, while my previous company struggled to sell properties, our company’s listings were selling out at remarkable speed. Feeling a strong connection to such a dynamic company—and intrigued by its business approach—motivated me to apply.
-Could you tell us about your current role and responsibilities?
I belong to the Housing Business Division and oversee two distinct operations: the Custom-Built Home Business and the Renovation Business.
In the Custom-Built Home Business, my mission is to establish a robust business foundation to increase sales and expand our reach. This includes various tasks such as introducing standardized custom homes in certain regions—a new product in addition to our conventional tailor-made homes—revising existing brochures, and reviewing internal rules to create a system that facilitates sales for our custom home representatives.
Meanwhile, in the Renovation Business, I am responsible for building a framework for revitalizing pre-owned detached homes. My devision involves acquiring properties, planning projects within my division, establishing successful models and renovation methods, and sharing that expertise company-wide to scale the renovation business.
-What is the most rewarding or interesting aspect of your current responsibilities?
In the Custom-Built Home Business, we undertake projects that directly contribute to society, such as planning low-cost standardized homes for those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
We have already held home viewing events in the affected areas, proposing these standardized homes to the victims, and receiving positive feedback on product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Meanwhile, the Renovation Business offers the creative excitement of revitalizing pre-owned properties, where no two are the same. By reusing existing buildings instead of demolishing them, the work is environmentally friendly, and since the cost is lower than new construction, it broadens our customers’ options for homeownership.
The most fascinating and rewarding aspect is that growing both of these businesses will establish them as new pillars of the company’s growth, following the Detached Housing Development Business. This contribution to the company, in turn, allows us to expand our customers’ housing options and leads directly to social contribution.
-What was the deciding factor in your decision to join ID Home?
I was attracted to the opportunity to utilize my experience in real estate brokerage while being comprehensively involved in the entire process—from land acquisition and home planning to sales. At the age of 26, a pivotal age for shaping my career, I decided to take the leap-confident in the company’s future potential.
-Could you tell us about your current role and responsibilities?
I serve as a Senior Store Manager at our headquarters. My primary responsibility is land acquisition, mainly focusing on the areas along the Chuo Line.In this role, I am responsible for managing store operations, lead on-site activities with a business management mindset, and focusing heavily on personnel development.
-What is the most rewarding or interesting aspect of your current responsibilities?
I find fulfillment in several key aspects of my work: being on the front lines and directly experiencing the company’s growth, the close connection between planning and sales in my work, the simultaneous acquisition of rewards from personnel development and organizational management, and the crucial role of bridging the gap between executive vision and on-site execution.

S. (Specialized Construction Division)
-What was the deciding factor in your decision to join ID Home?
When I joined the company in 2012, the company was still in a developing stage, focusing on increasing the number of detached homes built and expanding its operating area.
I decided to join because I felt I could achieve rapid personal growth by handling a greater number of projects alongside ID Home’s expansion. Furthermore, I was motivated by the prospect of contributing to society through this growth.
-Could you tell us about your current role and responsibilities?
I work in the Specialized Construction Division, where I am generally in charge of non-residential projects, from the initial client meeting to the final handover, cllaborating closely with our sales and design teams. Our non-residential projects include a wide range of properties, such as apartment buildings, group homes, nurseries, dormitories, villas, offices, retail stores, and warehouses.
-What is the most rewarding or interesting aspect of your current responsibilities?
Because our division handles non-residential projects, no two cases are the same. Each project is unique, embodying the distinct vision of the client.
I find it rewarding and fulfilling to work with our sales and design teams to build and deliver each project—translating the client’s vision into a physical structure, and ultimately seeing their satisfaction upon handover.
